Mersive Solstice Pod

Mersive’s Collaboration Platform

The wireless content sharing device becomes an all in one meeting platform, boosting many applications and fostering in room collaboration.

Mersive seems to be a single product company. But that doesn’t make it less interesting. When quickly browsing their website you may run into a variety of products or solutions, but actually everything is built into one single product: Mersive Solstice Pod.

The collaboration market is extremely competitive at the moment, with a number of hi-tech, proprietary collaboration tools, such as the Mersive Solstice Pod that facilitate rich image, desktop and file sharing in realtime with unlimited participants across the LAN and WAN.

Some browser based solutions may grab the lower end of the BYOD/display sharing market, but the high-end of the market is still dominated by Barco (ClickShare). The main competitors are Kramer, Extron, Poly and Mersive. But why is it that Solstice Pod, by Mersive, is so incredibly popular in certain niches of the market?

First of all, Mersive doesn’t call its Solstice Pod a device. Instead it refers to ‘The Ultimate Meeting Collaboration Platform’ and this is why: Solstice is a software based, cloud enabled meeting collaboration platform that is optimized for local and remote teams. It allows simultaneous users to wirelessly share content to the connected display and it allows for seamlessly bridged remote locations, using any major video conferencing service (agnostic).

Solstice Pod is characterised by unrivalled enterprise security and scalable management. Setting up the devices across multiple locations and providing uniform access is one of the key features greatly admired by WeWork, a company that has deployed Solstice Pod on a massive scale. The advantage of this deployment is simply that users can come in any room with a display and connect instantly without having to re-enter credentials.

Unlike ClickShare, Solstice also offers value-add capabilities beyond wireless content sharing – such as room calendar integration, digital signage playback, meeting analytics, and a robust API for other integrations – to help you get more out of your meeting spaces. And due to Solstice’s software-based architecture, Pods are easily updated with future capabilities using a feature-rich software upgrade path, giving you additional value even after your initial purchase.
